The Rosewood Village Masterplan Project is a BC Housing climate resilience pilot project led by Human Studio. Through a series of interdisciplinary workshops with industry experts, accessibility advisors, existing tenants and the surrounding community, the masterplan evolved from nine wildly diverse concept options into one preferred vision. As a pilot project under BC Housing’s MBAR initiative, Rosewood is also testing several unique approaches to climate resilience, including on-site energy generation, conservation of existing soils for rainwater retention, and a comprehensive urban forest preservation strategy.
Human Studio is now working together with an incredible consulting team to design the first phase of construction as two net zero energy buildings.
With a childcare hub at its heart, the final conceptual design strives to support people of all backgrounds, ages and abilities to thrive together.
